AcadeMedia strengthens European footprint through primary education deal in the Netherlands

AcadeMedia has acquired Dutch primary education operator Florencius Vastgoed B.V. The strategic transaction adds three academic facilities to AcadeMedia’s portfolio, elevating its Dutch network beyond 100 operational units and cementing its market-leading position in private primary education across the country.

European private education operator AcadeMedia has completed the acquisition of all equity shares in Dutch school operator Florencius Vastgoed B.V. The deal incorporates three facilities comprising two primary schools and a combined preschool and after-school center, adding a total capacity of 100 students to AcadeMedia’s operations. Florencius will be integrated into the existing Winford educational network while maintaining its distinct brand identity. In fiscal year 2025, Florencius generated approximately EUR 3 million in net revenue and delivered operating margins exceeding group target benchmarks.

AcadeMedia is Europe's largest education services company, operating early learning centers, primary schools, secondary academies, and adult education institutes across Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Germany. The transaction marks a substantial scaling of private educational infrastructure in Western Europe. The strategic move positions AcadeMedia as the premier private primary education provider within the Netherlands, building upon an established regional network that includes 11 Winford institutions, several childcare organizations, and the IVA Business School.

The expansion reflects growing commercial opportunities within specialized European education markets, where demand for small-class learning environments and premium instruction model continues to rise.
