INDIA —ACME Greentech Twenty Private Limited has formally executed a binding power purchase agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) Limited to develop and supply capacity from an assured peak power facility. The operational mandate entails delivering a total contract capacity of 300 megawatts under the framework of FDRE Tranche IX.
Under the contractual terms, scheduled commercial delivery is mandated to commence on April 6, 2028, initiating a binding 25-year operational lifecycle. Power generated through this initiative will be distributed at a fixed financial tariff of INR 6.00 per unit throughout the designated project tenure.
This long-term procurement arrangement directly addresses grid stability challenges by guaranteeing dependable energy output during peak demand intervals. The integration of firm and dispatchable renewable energy frameworks mitigates intermittency risks historically associated with solar installations, thereby reinforcing national grid reliability and supporting large-scale clean energy absorption.
The development holds significant operational consequence for utility-scale renewable energy developers, state-owned distribution utilities, and industrial power purchasers navigating evolving regulatory mandates. Market participants and investors gain clearer visibility into long-term revenue streams within India's evolving green energy sector, signaling sustained demand for advanced hybrid and peak-load renewable infrastructure.
