Adani Green Energy Limited has successfully operationalized 510.1 MW of renewable power projects in Khavda, Gujarat. This expansion brings the firm's total active generation capacity to nearly 18,000 MW, reinforcing its position in India’s energy transition and supporting national decarbonization targets.

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), a leading Indian renewable energy firm specializing in solar and wind power projects, has officially commenced power generation at a 510.1 MW facility in Khavda, Gujarat. According to official regulatory filings, the capacity was activated through the company’s various step-down subsidiaries following the receipt of necessary clearances. Operations at the site were initiated on March 22, 2026. This development increases AGEL’s total operational renewable portfolio to 17,982.3 MW.

The successful commissioning in the Khavda region, a key hub for large-scale green energy infrastructure is a critical step toward the company's long-term scale-up objectives. For industrial stakeholders and utilities, the steady increase in operational capacity enhances grid reliability and the availability of green power in western India. For investors and decision-makers in the energy sector, the expansion demonstrates the company's ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and deliver high-capacity infrastructure on schedule. As India aims for 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, the continuous operationalization of such large-scale projects impacts the broader energy market by lowering the relative cost of renewable procurement and signaling a robust pipeline for future clean energy investments. This progress further consolidates the region's status as a primary driver of the domestic renewable energy transition.
