Saudi Arabia’s Al-Baha region has launched SR89 million in industrial infrastructure projects at its First Industrial City, targeting investment attraction, SME growth, and mining sector development. The initiative aligns with Vision 2030 objectives to diversify regional economies and strengthen industrial competitiveness.
Saudi Arabia’s Al-Baha region has initiated SR89 million worth of industrial and utility projects within its First Industrial City, as part of a broader strategy to enhance local manufacturing capacity and stimulate private sector participation. The projects were inaugurated by Prince Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Baha, in the presence of Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef.
The developments, overseen by the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), include integrated service and logistics facilities designed to improve operational efficiency for investors and manufacturers. MODON, the government entity responsible for developing and managing industrial cities across the Kingdom, plays a central role in advancing Saudi Arabia’s industrial diversification agenda.
The initiative is expected to support small and medium enterprises, expand mining-related activities, and create employment opportunities in the southwestern region. By strengthening infrastructure readiness, the projects aim to reduce entry barriers for industrial investors and enhance supply chain integration.
