SAUDI ARABIA —Rising patient volume across Saudi Arabia's healthcare sector has driven Al-Modawat Specialized Medical Co. to execute a multi-phase infrastructure expansion at its flagship facility. The provider has repurposed upper levels of its East Building to accommodate a major scale-up in inpatient operations, alongside integrated clinical and diagnostic upgrades.
Founded in Saudi Arabia, Al-Modawat Specialized Medical Co. operates multi-specialty healthcare facilities offering inpatient care, outpatient services, and advanced diagnostic procedures. The company focuses on scaling clinical infrastructure and upgrading medical technology to meet national healthcare demand.
Under the revised development blueprint, the healthcare provider will boost total inpatient capacity by 60% across two structured phases. The initial phase, which is currently 70% complete and slated for Q4 2026 commissioning, adds 30% to inpatient capacity through dedicated suite floor builds. A secondary phase extending into 2027 will complete additional upper-floor infrastructure to deliver the remaining 30% expansion.
Alongside inpatient modifications, construction on 42 outpatient clinics within the East Building is complete, with medical equipment installation progressing toward a Q4 2026 operational start. A newly constructed 51-meter skywalk connecting the primary facility with the East Expansion Building is now active, streamling inter-facility movement. Diagnostic services have also been enhanced following the installation and commissioning of a high-capacity CT scanning unit.
To prioritize high-demand inpatient beds and clinical consultation rooms, secondary projects—including physical therapy unit expansions, women's wellness facilities, and industrial laundry upgrades—have been deferred to later operational phases. However, an expanded main waiting complex and fully equipped men's health center have already commenced operations.
The expansion aligns with Saudi Arabia's broader Vision 2030 objectives to strengthen private-sector healthcare delivery and regional medical access. By reallocating capital toward core clinical services and immediate bed capacity, Al-Modawat positions itself to capture higher market share and accommodate sustained operational demand across the Kingdom's growing healthcare ecosystem.
