APAR Industries has announced that its subsidiary, Petroleum Specialities Pte Ltd, will acquire a 70 percent stake in China-based Hebei Jinghuan Cable Co. Ltd for approximately 24.85 million yuan. The strategic move aims to broaden manufacturing and export capabilities for aluminum overhead conductors across international markets.

CHINA; INDIA —Petroleum Specialities Pte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of APAR Industries, has finalized an equity interest transfer agreement to secure a 70 percent majority stake in Hebei Jinghuan Cable Co. Ltd. The transaction entails a purchase price estimated at 24.85 million yuan, structured around the target entity's net asset value on the closing date. Settlement will occur through cash installments, featuring an initial payment alongside a deferred balance secured within an escrow arrangement pending fulfillment of closing conditions. Furthermore, the acquiring corporate arm retains a call option to purchase the remaining 30 percent equity interest after a five-year period based on a third-party valuation formula.

This strategic acquisition allows the parent organization to geographically diversify its manufacturing footprint for aluminum overhead conductors used in power transmission and distribution. Because the target company is currently non-operating with assets primarily represented by bank balances and machinery, the investment serves as a dedicated vehicle for establishing an export-focused operational base in the region. APAR Industries Limited is a prominent Indian manufacturer specializing in conductors, cables, and specialty oils, operating extensive corporate infrastructure and industrial facilities to serve global energy networks.

The development holds direct relevance for the global power infrastructure and electrical equipment manufacturing sectors, particularly entities involved in cross-border trade of transmission materials. Regulatory compliance under foreign exchange management acts and state administration frameworks will govern the completion timeline. By positioning production assets directly within international manufacturing hubs, the enterprise aims to streamline export logistics and mitigate supply chain vulnerabilities associated with single-region manufacturing dependencies.

For market participants and institutional investors, the transaction signals a calculated approach to international expansion and localized manufacturing optimization without immediate exposure to complex legacy operational liabilities. The staged cash consideration mechanism minimizes near-term capital risk while establishing a clear pathway for eventual full integration. Stakeholders will monitor the execution of escrow conditions and subsequent regulatory approvals as benchmarks for cross-border industrial investments within the sector.
