Arrow Global strengthens specialty insurance platform with Fusion Specialty Group acquisition

Arrow Global Group has expanded its specialty insurance operations through the acquisition of managing general agent Fusion Specialty Group. The transaction enhances Arrow Global Insurance's underwriting capabilities and broadens its presence in specialty insurance markets across the UK, Europe, North America, and other international regions.

European alternative investment manager Arrow Global Group has completed the acquisition of Fusion Specialty Group, a specialist managing general agent (MGA), marking a strategic expansion of its Arrow Global Insurance (AGI) platform. The transaction adds an established underwriting business with operations serving policyholders across the UK, Europe, North America and other international markets.

Arrow Global Group is a pan-European alternative investment manager with businesses spanning credit, real estate and specialty finance. Through Arrow Global Insurance, the firm provides institutional investors with access to specialty, non-catastrophe insurance markets by combining underwriting businesses, rated risk-bearing capacity and investment expertise.

The acquisition strengthens AGI's underwriting platform by integrating Fusion's specialist capabilities and established underwriting portfolio. Fusion has built a significant presence in specialty insurance, processing more than 23,000 submissions and underwriting approximately £290 million in gross written premium for around 1,500 policyholders since its launch.

The transaction is expected to reinforce underwriting capacity available to specialty insurance markets while supporting continued consolidation within the MGA sector. For insurers, reinsurers, brokers and institutional investors, the acquisition highlights sustained investment in specialist underwriting businesses that operate in technically complex market segments with long-term growth potential and diversified risk profiles.
