Ashghal has awarded Gulf Consulting Group a QAR 1.4 million consultancy contract for post-contract services on the KITC renovation and wind mitigation project

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has awarded a consultancy contract to Gulf Consulting Group for Post contract Professional Consultancy services for the D&B of Renovation and wind mitigation works at KITC.

The contract, valued at QAR 1.4 million was officially awarded on September 11, 2025.

The project forms part of Ashghal’s broader mandate to deliver high-quality public infrastructure across Qatar, ensuring compliance with international standards while addressing the country’s specific environmental and structural requirements.

Ashghal, the government entity responsible for planning and delivering public infrastructure in Qatar, continues to prioritise asset durability and climate resilience in its capital works portfolio. The inclusion of wind mitigation measures reflects the country’s focus on safeguarding infrastructure against environmental stressors and extreme weather conditions.

For engineering consultancies and construction firms, the award signals sustained demand for specialised advisory services in refurbishment and resilience-focused projects. It also reinforces regulatory emphasis on compliance with international standards, presenting opportunities for firms with expertise in structural retrofitting, risk mitigation, and infrastructure lifecycle management within Qatar’s public sector pipeline.
