INDIA —Bajel Projects Limited has been awarded a Mega EPC contract by PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) on behalf of its Special Purpose Vehicle, M/s WR ER Part A Power Transmission Limited, for major transmission line works in India. The contract, secured through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route, falls within the mega order classification of Rs. 400.00 Cr and above, with an execution timeframe of 27 months from the issuance of the Notification of Award.
The comprehensive scope of work entails Transmission Line Package TL06 for LILO of Ranchi (New)- New PPSP 400kV D/C line at Jamshedpur (New) i) Jamshedpur (New) to LILO section towards Ranchi (New)- 400kV D/C (Twin Moose), ii) Jamshedpur (New) to LILO section towards New PPSP 400kV D/C (Twin HTLS) TL line associated with WR-ER Inter-Regional Network Expansion Scheme-Part A.
This development plays a crucial role in enhancing inter-regional power transfer capability between the Western and Eastern grids, addressing critical transmission bottlenecks, and ensuring seamless bulk power flow.
