Bajel Projects signs deal with EETC for ₹4 billion transmission line project in Egypt

Bajel Projects Limited has formalised a contract with Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company for a 500 kV transmission line project valued at over ₹4 billion, strengthening power grid infrastructure and expanding the company's international EPC presence in the MENA region.

Bajel Projects Limited, a leading power transmission EPC company of the Bajaj Group, has formalised a major agreement with the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) for an ultra-mega power transmission line contract valued at over ₹4 billion in Cairo, Egypt. The deal, signed by Managing Director & CEO Rajesh Ganesh alongside Egyptian officials and the Ambassador of India to Egypt, marks a significant international expansion for the contractor in high-voltage infrastructure.

Under the terms of the contract, Bajel Projects Limited will execute the construction of two contiguous sections designated as Lot 1 and Lot 5 of a 500 kV Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) for the awarding authority, Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company. The project forms part of Egypt's flagship national grid reinforcement programme aimed at strengthening its high-voltage transmission backbone and enabling reliable power evacuation to meet growing economic and industrial demand across the country.

This contract marks a critical milestone in cross-border infrastructure collaboration and Egypt's ongoing power sector transformation.
