Bridgepoint has invested €200 million in Skello, a human resources technology firm, to accelerate its European expansion and artificial intelligence capabilities. The funding will support strategic hiring and platform enhancements for frontline workforce management, targeting operational efficiency across the retail and hospitality sectors.

According to official disclosures, private equity firm Bridgepoint has committed €200 million to acquire a lead minority stake in Skello, a provider of human resources technology for frontline workers. Existing shareholders and the management team are also reinvesting to increase their ownership.

Founded in 2016, Skello develops scheduling and compliance software for sectors requiring shift-based labor. The firm recently achieved profitability and surpassed €50 million in annual recurring revenue. Bridgepoint is a prominent global mid-market investment firm. This capital injection highlights growing investor confidence in specialized, AI-enhanced operational software.

The human resources technology sector is rapidly shifting toward automated compliance and predictive scheduling. By integrating artificial intelligence to process operational data and automate administrative tasks, the platform addresses chronic labor shortages and complex regulatory requirements in shift-heavy industries.

The capital will fund the recruitment of 100 technology and commercial professionals across Paris, Lille, and Barcelona in 2026. Furthermore, the firm plans to pursue targeted acquisitions to broaden its functional scope. For enterprise clients and investors, this consolidation signals a maturing market where scalable, intelligent workforce management tools are becoming essential for maintaining operational margins in competitive European economies.
