Brookfield Global Transition Fund (BGTF) has committed up to $600 million to ACME Cleantech Ventures. The capital injection will accelerate the development and construction of green ammonia and green methanol projects across India and West Asia, addressing rising industrial demand for low-carbon fuels.

INDIA; OMAN Global transition investor Brookfield has allocated up to $600 million to UK-based ACME Cleantech Ventures to finance green molecule infrastructure across India and West Asia. Executed through the Brookfield Global Transition Fund (BGTF) strategy, the capital deployment marks the asset manager's initial equity entry into the regional green hydrogen derivatives space. The transaction pairs Brookfield's institutional capital scale with ACME's operational pipeline in low-carbon chemical synthesis.

The investment targets large-scale production facilities for green ammonia and green methanol, core feedstocks essential for decarbonizing heavy industry, maritime transport, and agriculture. Demand for alternative energy carriers has intensified as international trade frameworks tighten emission thresholds and energy security priorities realign global supply chains. By establishing localized production assets, the partnership intends to supply cost-competitive decarbonization solutions to industrial off-takers across Asia, Europe, and international markets.

This commercial expansion aligns directly with public policy initiatives aimed at establishing regional manufacturing hubs for hydrogen derivatives. In India, regulatory bodies have outlined formal standards and emission thresholds for green ammonia and green methanol under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. These framework definitions provide critical regulatory certainty for long-term supply agreements. ACME has already secured off-take contracts with domestic fertilizer manufacturing firms, state-backed energy corporations, and international industrial conglomerates based in Japan and Norway.

For global institutional investors, the transaction illustrates a broadening asset allocation strategy from traditional renewable power generation - such as solar and wind power assets, toward next-generation transition fuels. For industrial off-takers, the buildout of scaled green molecule platforms helps mitigate supply chain carbon intensity and hedge against prospective carbon compliance costs. Established in the United Kingdom, ACME Cleantech Ventures operates as a specialized project development vehicle within the ACME Group focused on green molecule infrastructure development.
