NORWAY; SWEDEN —Nasdaq First North-listed workforce provider Calviks has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire an 80 percent stake in Norwegian staffing firm Atrium People for approximately NOK 47.7 million on a cash and debt-free basis. The cash-funded transaction follows a preliminary agreement reached in July 2026 and incorporates performance-linked earn-out provisions tied to earnings over the next 24 months. Completion remains contingent upon final debt financing arrangements and customary regulatory approvals.
Founded in 2015, Calviks operates specialized recruitment, interim management, and consulting subsidiaries across Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. Target business Atrium People generates annual revenue of NOK 90 million with operating earnings of NOK 13.5 million, maintaining operational hubs across key industrial and commercial regions including Bergen, Sunnmøre, and Oslo. The entity will be integrated into Calviks' Norwegian investment platform, Norvika, alongside recently acquired staffing operator Subshore while maintaining existing management structures.
The acquisition establishes an immediate operational foothold in critical regional talent hubs across Norway, accelerating geographic penetration that would prove capital-intensive to build organically. By adding high-margin recruitment infrastructure to the Norvika platform, Calviks strengthens its service coverage across maritime, energy, and corporate sectors in the Nordic region. The addition of Atrium People's localized recruitment network enhances capacity to meet growing enterprise demand for flexible staffing and specialized talent acquisition solutions.
The transaction underscores continued consolidation within the Nordic human resources and temporary staffing marketplace, driven by corporate demand for integrated workforce advisory services. For institutional investors and labor market analysts, the deal demonstrates Calviks' M&A-driven strategy to scale its regional operations through cash-flow positive entities. Successful execution of the financing structure will provide a operational framework for subsequent strategic additions across secondary and tertiary Nordic industrial markets.
