INDIA —The Competition Commission of India has granted regulatory approval for the acquisition of an equity shareholding stake in FarMart Service Private Limited by Impact Fund Denmark, Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries SA/NV, and Orios Fund III. The combination agreement enables the international development finance institutions and venture fund to secure equity positions in the Indian agri-tech enterprise.
FarMart Service Private Limited is an Indian agricultural supply chain platform that facilitates business-to-business sourcing, trading, and distribution of agricultural commodities across domestic and international markets. Impact Fund Denmark and Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries SA/NV are state-backed development finance institutions focused on private sector investments in emerging economies, while Orios Fund III is an Alternative Investment Fund registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
The transaction clears regulatory requirements under Indian antitrust laws, allowing the investor consortium to finalize share subscription and capital injection into FarMart's agricultural trade architecture. The capital deployment will support the scaling of tech-enabled farm-to-business supply chains, expanding digital procurement networks, commodity storage capabilities, and export distribution channels across regional farming hubs.
This regulatory clearance reflects growing institutional investment activity in South Asia's agricultural technology and B2B trade logistics sectors. For institutional investors, agricultural suppliers, and food processing enterprises, foreign development capital participation strengthens food supply chain efficiency, enhances trade transparency, and accelerates market integration for smallholder agricultural networks across developing markets.
