Ceigall India joint venture secures lowest bidder status for Frontier Highway project in Arunachal Pradesh

A joint venture led by Ceigall India Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder for a INR 7.05 billion road construction contract in Arunachal Pradesh under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

A joint venture between Ceigall India Limited (CIL) and Sushee Infra & Mining Limited (SIML) has secured the lowest bidder (L1) position for a major domestic infrastructure contract in northeast India. According to official regulatory filings, the project was tendered by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) as part of national highway development plans.

The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract entails building an intermediate-lane road spanning from kilometer 85.60 to kilometer 168.00 on the Lada-Sarli section of National Highway 913, also known as the Frontier Highway. Ceigall India, an ISO-certified infrastructure development company, holds a dominant 74% stake in the joint venture, while Sushee Infra holds the remaining 26% share. The total commercial consideration for the contract is valued at INR 7.05 billion, excluding goods and services tax (GST).

The agreement stipulates a strict 48-month construction timeline, followed by a mandatory five-year maintenance period. This development directly impacts the domestic infrastructure, logistics, and construction sectors, particularly within remote border regions. For the engineering and construction market, the allocation underscores the government's continued capital expenditure focus on strategic connectivity projects. For institutional investors and stakeholders, this substantial order backlog expansion strengthens CIL’s near-term revenue visibility and reinforces its market positioning in executing complex, long-term state-funded infrastructure frameworks.
