CGN New Energy Holdings announced that its subsidiary, CGN New Energy Yancheng, has signed an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with China Energy Engineering Jiangsu Design Institute for phase two of the Yancheng fishery-photovoltaic complementary project.
CGN New Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, CGN New Energy Yancheng, has entered into an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement with China Energy Engineering Jiangsu Design Institute for Phase II of the Yancheng fishery-photovoltaic complementary project. The contract, valued at approximately RMB567.2 million including tax, was awarded through an open tender process.
The project, located in Jianhu County, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, will add 200 MW of installed capacity. Construction will commence upon issuance of the formal start order by the supervising engineer, with completion and full grid connection targeted for December 30, 2026.
The development integrates aquaculture with solar power generation, optimizing land and water resource utilization by combining fish farming with photovoltaic infrastructure. The site has been assessed as meeting land-use requirements for both fishery and renewable energy deployment, supporting the group’s regional expansion strategy in Jiangsu.
For CGN New Energy, the contract is expected to expand its installed renewable capacity and deepen operational expertise in hybrid solar-aquaculture models. The project reflects continued investment momentum in China’s distributed and integrated renewable energy segment, offering opportunities for EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and grid operators involved in large-scale clean energy integration.
