Chalet Hotels Limited has agreed to acquire Seasons Hotels Private Limited, owner of the 144-room Inder Residency Resort & Spa in Udaipur, for ₹ 1.71 billion. The all-equity transaction marks the company’s entry into Rajasthan and will see the property repositioned as an upper-upscale leisure destination.
According to a regulatory filing, Chalet Hotels Limited’s board approved the acquisition of Seasons Hotels Private Limited on April 24, 2026. The deal, structured as a 100% equity purchase in tranches, is expected to close by May 15, 2026.
The Udaipur property will undergo refurbishment and potential expansion, remaining non-operational during the upgrade period. This acquisition diversifies Chalet’s portfolio into leisure hospitality, a strategic shift from its primarily urban, business-hotel focus. Udaipur, a high-footfall tourist market in Rajasthan, offers year-round demand from domestic and international travelers. The move places Chalet in direct competition with incumbent luxury and premium resort operators in the region.
For investors, the ₹ 1.71 billion consideration implies a per-key valuation of approximately ₹11.9 million, which is competitive for an established resort requiring repositioning. The upgrade to an upper-upscale segment could improve average room rates and margins.
Chalet Hotels Limited, a K Raheja Corp group entity, operates premium hotels in metro cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Pune.
