Chemical Solutions Group (CSG), an Irish-owned chemical distribution and solutions provider, has acquired UK-based distribution specialist Resource Chemicals for an undisclosed amount, according to official disclosures. Resource Chemicals generates €29 million in annual sales and brings local market knowledge, technical service, and supply continuity.
The acquisition is CSG’s second following its January agreement to acquire Cork-based Celtic Water Care Solutions (pending regulatory clearance). CSG currently reports annualised group revenues of about €100 million and targets €150 million by the end of the decade.
This development matters because CSG is systematically building a UK presence to enhance supply resilience, technical capability, and customer service across industrial, water, and environmental markets. The company previously launched a UK bulk chemical distribution hub under its GI Chemicals brand in Immingham and has invested multimillion euros in its Shannon and Foynes operations.
The Resource Chemicals portfolio complements CSG’s existing business lines, which include Chemifloc, GI Chemicals Ireland, GI Chemical Solutions UK, and Chemilab, employing 100 people group-wide.
