COLOMBIA —Exploration activities at the Guayabales Project in Caldas, Colombia, have identified a high-grade tungsten and gold target situated within schist rock beyond the southern boundary of the known Apollo breccia body. Drilling intercepted an 8.15-meter interval grading 14.82 grams per tonne gold equivalent, located roughly 680 meters vertically below the shallower tungsten zone outlined in the current resource block model. Additional deep drilling confirmed thirteen previously unrecognized high-grade gold-equivalent veins both outside and along the southwestern margin of the deposit, while expanding mineralization in the Ramp Zone by 35 meters to the west.
Collective Mining Ltd. is a precious and base metals exploration company headquartered in Canada, focusing on the discovery and development of gold, silver, copper, and tungsten assets in Colombia. Its primary project, Guayabales, holds a maiden resource estimate of 2.58 million ounces gold equivalent Indicated and 2.83 million ounces Inferred.
This development significantly expands the prospective footprint for critical and precious metals within the Caldas mining region, opening up untested host rock formations beneath and adjacent to existing mineral deposits. The addition of tungsten-a strategic metal in high demand for industrial applications-alongside gold enhances the multi-commodity potential of regional mining infrastructure. For domestic natural resource regulators and industry players, these findings suggest that deeply rooted mineral systems in the northern Andes may extend far beyond conventional breccia boundaries, warranting revised geological modeling and deeper exploration strategies.
From a commercial and investment standpoint, demonstrating high-grade mineral continuity outside defined resource models mitigates asset-level concentration risks and improves overall deposit economics. Backed by a strong treasury balance of USD 93.7 million, the ongoing 90,000-meter drilling program positions the company to potentially expand its resource base without immediate capital dilution. Continued positive assay results could strengthen the asset’s valuation profile and attract strategic partnerships, while demonstrating the viability of deep-level, multi-element extraction projects in South America.
