Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has secured a significant contract worth ₹649.90 million from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). This order involves the deployment of 3,000 off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across Maharashtra, further strengthening the company's position in India's renewable energy and agricultural infrastructure sector.

Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited, a leading Indian consumer electrical company, has announced the receipt of a major order from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) valued at approximately ₹649.90 million. This project is a critical component of the government-backed MTSKPY/PM-KUSUM-B scheme, aimed at expanding solar energy adoption in rural and agricultural regions across the State of Maharashtra.

The scope of the contract encompasses the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing, and commissioning of Off-grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems. The agreement also includes a comprehensive system warranty, ongoing repair and maintenance, and the implementation of a remote monitoring system (RMS) for a period of five years. The project is slated for execution within 60 days from the date of the issuance of the Notice to Proceed or the official work order.

This development is significant as it highlights the accelerating transition toward sustainable agricultural infrastructure in India. By integrating solar technology into water management, MSEDCL and Crompton are reducing the dependency of the farming community on conventional grid electricity. This shift provides long-term operational cost savings for farmers and supports state-level efforts to achieve greener energy targets.

For stakeholders and investors, this contract underscores Crompton's strategic shift toward high-growth B2B and government infrastructure segments. The repeat order suggests consistent operational capacity and strong alignment with national renewable energy policies, positioning the company favorably for similar tenders in the future.
