DEE Development Engineers has signed a framework agreement with an Indian EPC contractor to jointly pursue nuclear power projects across India. The arrangement covers engineering, manufacturing and supply of specialised piping systems for PHWRs, LWRs and SMRs, but includes no confirmed orders, committed contract value or execution timeline.

INDIA —DEE Development Engineers Ltd has entered into a framework agreement with a domestic engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor to pursue opportunities across India’s nuclear power sector. The arrangement establishes a collaborative model under which DEE will contribute engineering expertise, specialised piping products and manufacturing capabilities, while the EPC partner will lead customer engagement and project execution activities.

The collaboration is intended to cover nuclear power projects developed by public and private sector entities, including facilities based on pressurised heavy water reactors (PHWRs), light water reactors (LWRs) and small modular reactors (SMRs). Its technical scope spans both the nuclear island, which includes primary piping and associated services, and the turbine island, where secondary-cycle piping and light water systems are required. Products covered include pipes, fittings, piping spools and forged piping components.

DEE’s responsibilities will extend from the bidding stage through engineering and manufacturing support. The company will provide preliminary pricing, budgetary estimates and commercial inputs, alongside three-dimensional modelling, piping layout drawings, stress analysis, support design and material calculations. Its manufacturing portfolio under the arrangement may include seamless and welded pipes, flanges, forged fittings, custom bends, pipe supports, venturis and flow nozzles. Quality assurance records, inspection and testing procedures, production schedules and final technical documentation will also form part of its contribution.

The EPC contractor will identify prospective projects, manage customer interactions, prepare commercial proposals and coordinate contract finalisation with DEE. It will also undertake site-level responsibilities, including fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning. This division of responsibilities allows the parties to combine specialised component manufacturing and engineering with broader project delivery capabilities.

The agreement does not represent a confirmed supply order or awarded project contract. No minimum order commitment, contract value or implementation schedule has been disclosed. Commercial benefits will therefore depend on the partners securing bids and converting prospective opportunities into executable projects. The framework should be viewed as a route to market rather than evidence of immediate revenue or a confirmed addition to DEE’s order book.

The arrangement comes amid efforts to expand nuclear electricity generation in India, creating potential opportunities for suppliers of safety-critical piping, engineered components and related services. Nuclear projects require stringent technical specifications, quality controls and documentation, making manufacturing qualifications and engineering capabilities important considerations for prospective suppliers. Demand may extend across reactor construction, conventional power-generation systems and associated plant infrastructure.

For DEE, the partnership could broaden access to nuclear-sector projects without requiring it to assume sole responsibility for complete EPC delivery. For the contractor, the arrangement provides access to a dedicated piping engineering and manufacturing partner. Developers and investors may benefit from a wider pool of specialised domestic suppliers as projects progress, although the timing and scale of any commercial gains remain uncertain until specific awards are announced. DEE Development Engineers operates in industrial piping and engineered components, supplying products and services for infrastructure and industrial applications.
