DeepOcean secures cable installation contract for Taiwan’s TPC-II offshore wind farm

Subsea service provider DeepOcean has been contracted to install inter-array cables for the 295 MW TPC-II offshore wind project in Taiwan. The agreement covers engineering and project management for the facility’s 31-turbine array, marking a significant step in the regional transition toward large-scale renewable energy infrastructure.

DeepOcean has been appointed to manage the inter-array cable installation for the TPC-II offshore wind project. According to official disclosures, the contract encompasses engineering and project management services for the 295 MW facility located off the coast of Lukang. DeepOcean is a specialized subsea service provider offering engineering, survey, and installation solutions for the global energy and infrastructure sectors. The project infrastructure involves connecting 31 turbines on jacket foundations through a 66kV network across an area of 51 square kilometers.

This development is a critical component of Taiwan’s renewable energy strategy, which requires robust subsea connectivity to ensure efficient power transmission from offshore substations to the mainland grid. For the maritime construction industry, this underscores the high demand for expertise in installing high-voltage cabling at depths reaching 49 meters.
