Network expansion is intended to improve connectivity across densely populated districts and support rising passenger demand in the National Capital Region. Beyond transit, approximately INR 152 billion of projects relate to redevelopment of government housing under the General Pool Residential Accommodation programme. Redevelopment across neighbourhoods such as Sarojini Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Kasturba Nagar and Sriniwaspuri is designed to replace ageing residential complexes with higher-capacity housing and upgraded administrative infrastructure.
