Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited has secured two purchase orders worth ₹1.95 billion from EPC contractor Rajesh Power Services Limited. The contracts involve supplying 1,370 km of medium-voltage underground cables to strengthen coastal power distribution networks in Gujarat.

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited has received two purchase orders aggregating ₹1.95 billion from EPC contractor Rajesh Power Services Limited for the supply of 11 kV medium-voltage underground power cables in Gujarat. The contract covers basic order value excluding taxes, with an inclusive GST value of ₹2.31 billion, to be executed over a 12-month period. The material will be supplied for the account of state power distribution utility Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited across its coastal and urban networks.

The scope of work comprises supplying approximately 1,370 km of 3-core aluminium XLPE armoured power cables manufactured at Diamond Power's Vadodara facility. The order is split into two packages: 645 km valued at ₹0.98 billion under the State Disaster Mitigation Fund scheme, and 725 km valued at ₹0.97 billion under the System Improvement programme. Pricing remains subject to the IEEMA price variation formula based on early 2026 baseline indices.

This initiative represents a critical infrastructure push to transition vulnerable overhead power distribution lines into underground networks along Gujarat's cyclone-prone coastal belt. By converting overhead lines to medium-voltage underground cabling, the state utility aims to significantly enhance grid resilience against severe weather events while upgrading urban distribution efficiency and operational safety across the Saurashtra and Kutch regions.

For Diamond Power Infrastructure, an Indian power cable and conductor manufacturer, the win reinforces its market presence in the state utility sector and adds substantial revenue visibility to its order book. For EPC partner Rajesh Power Services, a Gujarat-based power infrastructure contractor, securing high-capacity cable supplies ensures timely turnkey execution of state-backed disaster mitigation and urban modernization initiatives.
