Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited has secured a Letter of Intent valued at INR 610.36 million from Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited for the supply of 33 kV HT XLPE cables across three distribution companies in Uttar Pradesh, India, with execution scheduled by January 2027.

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited has received a Letter of Intent from Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (PuVVNL), a power distribution utility under Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, for the supply of 250 kilometers of 33 kV HT XLPE cables valued at INR 610.36 million. The contract was awarded following approval from the Corporate Stores Purchase Committee of UPPCL in Lucknow, with supply deliveries scheduled to begin in September 2026 and complete by January 2027 across three distribution companies in Uttar Pradesh, India.

The procurement encompasses 3C x 300 sq. mm cables to be distributed to Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (150 km), Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (30 km), and Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (70 km). The order is structured on a variable-price basis aligned with the IEEMA formula, anchored to a base date of February 1, 2026, with payment due 30 days after invoice receipt, a 10 percent security deposit requirement, and a guarantee period of 36 months from commissioning or 42 months from dispatch.

This contract win highlights ongoing state-level investments in modernizing electrical distribution infrastructure and strengthening power reliability across regional networks. For utility equipment suppliers, securing bulk procurement contracts from state-owned discoms enhances order book visibility and reinforces manufacturing capabilities within the domestic power equipment sector. Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited manufactures power cables, conductors, and transmission equipment, while Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited serves as a state-owned utility responsible for electricity distribution across eastern Uttar Pradesh.
