Dilip Buildcon Limited has been selected as the L-1 bidder by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) for a 400 KV GIS switching station project in Maharashtra. Valued at INR 12.65 billion, the project will be executed on a BOOT basis with a 24-month construction timeline and a 35-year concession period.

INDIA Dilip Buildcon Limited has been declared as the L-1 lowest bidder by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) for a major infrastructure mandate valued at INR 12.65 billion. The contract encompasses the development and operation of an intra-state power transmission system via Tariff Based Competitive Bidding.

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Limited, specializing in power sector consultancy and acting as a nodal agency for project bidding. Dilip Buildcon Limited is a prominent Indian infrastructure development and construction company renowned for executing complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects across roads, irrigation, and power sectors.

The scope of work entails comprehensive design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the 400 KV GIS Solapur/Paranda Switching Station located in the Dharashiv district of Maharashtra. The project will be executed on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer basis, with an established construction period of 24 months and an operational lifespan spanning 35 years from the commercial operation date.

This major contract award highlights the continuous momentum in India's power transmission landscape, driven by the increasing need to integrate decentralized renewable energy capacities into the main grid. Upgrading high-voltage switching infrastructure ensures grid stability, reduces transmission losses, and supports rising commercial power demand across high-growth industrial corridors.

Securing this high-value transmission mandate significantly strengthens the contractor's non-road order book, diversifying revenue streams away from traditional highway construction. For market investors, long-term concessions under structured frameworks provide steady annuity-like cash flows, bolstering medium-term earnings visibility and reinforcing valuation metrics across the infrastructure sector.
