Dimension Energy has closed $650 million in construction and term financing for 25 community solar projects totalling 132 MW across four states. The package includes $415 million in debt from a bank syndicate and $235 million in tax equity from Franklin Park, marking the developer's largest project financing to date.

Dimension Energy has secured $650 million in construction and term financing to support a 132 MW portfolio of 25 community solar projects across Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and Illinois, according to an official announcement.

The financing includes $415 million in debt from First Citizens Bank, MUFG, ING Capital, and National Bank of Canada, alongside $235 million in tax equity from Franklin Park, a first-time partner for Dimension. Dimension Energy is a community solar developer, owner, and operator focused on distributed generation projects. Community solar allows subscribers to receive utility bill savings without installing rooftop panels, with projects typically brought online within 18 months of development.

This development matters for the US distributed solar sector, where community solar is expanding as electricity prices reach historic highs. The model generates power close to consumption points, reducing transmission infrastructure costs while providing immediate savings to subscribers.

The financing package demonstrates continued appetite from institutional lenders and tax equity investors for distributed generation assets. For the renewable energy industry, the transaction underscores the maturity of community solar as an asset class capable of attracting large-scale financing.

Stakeholders including project developers, engineering contractors, and equipment suppliers stand to benefit from portfolio deployment across mid-Atlantic and Midwest markets. CG/CRC-IB acted as exclusive financial advisor to Dimension, with legal counsel provided by Stoel Rives, Foley & Lardner, and McDermott Will & Schulte.
