EITA Elevator (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of EITA Resources Berhad, has secured a contract from Prasarana Malaysia Berhad valued at approximately RM62.30 million for the proposed upgrading of existing lifts and escalators along the Kelana Jaya Line.

EITA Elevator (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of EITA Resources Berhad, has secured a contract valued at approximately RM62.30 million from Prasarana Malaysia Berhad for the proposed upgrading of existing lifts and escalators under Work Package 1 across LRT stations from Gombak to Kelana Jaya, including the Subang Depot on the Kelana Jaya Line.

The project will be executed over a 48-month duration starting from the date of commencement or the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The undertaking focuses on modernizing vertical and inclined transportation systems across key urban transit hubs in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, ensuring improved operational efficiency and safer commuter movement along one of the country's busiest rail corridors.

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad serves as the public transport asset owner and operator responsible for driving public transit integration in Malaysia, while EITA Resources Berhad, through its elevator division, specializes in the design, manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of lift and escalator systems. This contract reinforces EITA's position as a local technical partner capable of delivering large-scale infrastructure maintenance and system modernization projects.

The upgrading initiative directly aligns with national objectives to enhance urban public transit infrastructure, increase accessibility for transit passengers, and optimize overall network reliability. System modernizations of this scale are essential for extending the operational lifecycle of critical public transport assets while reducing unexpected service disruptions.

For market participants and investors, the award provides strong revenue visibility for EITA Resources over its four-year tenure, strengthening its order book without altering its share capital structure. It also underlines sustained public capital expenditure in regional transit infrastructure maintenance and asset rejuvenation.
