Following a bilateral defense agreement between Israel and Greece, Elbit Systems has been commissioned to supply PULS rocket artillery to the Hellenic Armed Forces. The $750 million deal involves hardware delivery over four years, long-term support, and a significant technology transfer component designed to bolster the Greek domestic defense manufacturing sector.

Elbit Systems has finalized a $750 million contract to equip the Hellenic Armed Forces with the Precise & Universal Launching System (PULS). This four-year procurement program, established through a bilateral agreement between the Israeli and Greek defense ministries, includes the delivery of launchers and a diverse array of munitions, ranging from training rockets to precision-guided missiles and loitering munitions. A decade of follow-on support is also integrated into the agreement. Based in Israel, Elbit Systems is a global defense technology firm specializing in aerospace, land, and naval systems, as well as communications and surveillance equipment.

This development marks a significant upgrade for Greece's long-range strike capabilities. By integrating loitering munitions and precision-guided systems, the Hellenic Armed Forces are shifting toward high-accuracy, multi-domain warfare. The PULS framework is particularly advantageous for defense budgets because it is platform-agnostic, allowing integration with existing Greek military vehicles to minimize logistical overhead. For the regional defense sector, the agreement mandates a substantial technology transfer.

Elbit Systems will partner with Greek industrial entities to facilitate local production and knowledge sharing, adhering to national mandates for domestic industrial participation. This move not only strengthens the Mediterranean defense corridor but also signals the increasing adoption of modular artillery systems within NATO-aligned nations. For investors, the deal underscores Elbit's expanding footprint in the European defense market, where demand for versatile, cost-effective precision systems remains high amid heightened regional security concerns.
