Eltel Denmark has secured a five-year frame agreement valued at EUR 73 million with electricity grid operator KONSTANT. The contract covers the servicing, expansion, and 24/7 monitoring of the distribution network in Denmark's Jutland region, running from 2027 through 2035 if extended.

DENMARK Eltel Denmark has signed a major frame agreement with Danish electricity grid operator KONSTANT for the comprehensive expansion, operation, and maintenance of its electricity distribution network across parts of Jutland, Denmark. The initial five-year contract carries an estimated total value of DKK 544 million, equivalent to EUR 73 million, and includes a provision for an optional three-year extension. Scheduled to enter into force on 1 February 2027, the operational scope will run through 31 January 2035 if the extension options are fully exercised. To support the increased operational demand, Eltel Denmark plans to recruit approximately 40 new technicians dedicated to the assignment.

Under the terms of the agreement, Eltel will fulfill a critical operational role servicing KONSTANT’s regional power distribution network. The work program encompasses comprehensive maintenance, emergency preparedness, fault repair, and round-the-clock 24/7 network monitoring. Field operations will specifically focus on key infrastructure components, including the upgrading and servicing of transformer stations and cable cabinets throughout the Jutland service territory.

The service provider, Eltel AB, operates as a leading Nordic infrastructure company specializing in turnkey solutions for power and communication networks. The contract awarder, KONSTANT, acts as a primary electricity distribution system operator managing regional grid infrastructure in Jutland. For Eltel Denmark, securing this high-value frame agreement represents a major strategic milestone that significantly reinforces its Power business market share within western Denmark.

The contract comes amid accelerating societal electrification across the Nordic region, driven by rapid adoption of electric vehicles, heat pumps, utility-scale solar installations, and battery storage solutions. These technological shifts create substantial integration demands on electricity distribution networks, making continuous grid reinforcement and proactive fault management essential for utility operators. By securing long-term service contracts tied to critical energy transition infrastructure, utility service companies like Eltel establish predictable, recurring revenue streams while positioning themselves to capture ongoing market expansion in renewable energy integration.
