FINLAND —Helsinki-headquartered technology company Verda has completed a $189 million Series B funding round, pushing the enterprise into unicorn status as demand for artificial intelligence compute infrastructure intensifies. The financing was led by Emergence Capital, with participation from MUFG Innovation Partners, Supermicro, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company, Lifeline Ventures, ENDUR, 6 Degrees Capital, byFounders, and Tesi. Established in 2020, Verda operates a full-stack artificial intelligence cloud platform that integrates physical data center management, hardware orchestration, platform services, and specialized research.
The newly acquired capital will fund significant expansion across all layers of the company's platform, with an immediate priority on multiplying compute capacity and enhancing inference capabilities over the next twelve months. Having reached an annualized revenue run rate of $165 million in July, the enterprise recently expanded its commercial presence with new offices in London and San Francisco, while setting plans for broader footprint growth across Europe, North America, and Asia.
This capital influx highlights a pivotal moment for European technology infrastructure as regional enterprises seek to establish sovereign compute capabilities and reduce global reliance on foreign technology stacks. As artificial intelligence integration becomes mission-critical across diverse operational domains, securing scalable, high-performance computing resources has become a strategic priority for frontier development teams and enterprise adopters alike.
For enterprise customers and institutional investors, the expansion of independent, specialized cloud platforms signals a shifts toward more diversified infrastructure supply chains. Enhanced access to instant, scalable compute capacity lowers operational barriers for AI research and commercial deployment, while accelerated competition among cloud providers is expected to drive efficiency gains, regional data alignment, and broader sustainability improvements across data-heavy compute operations.
