Eurowind Energy has agreed to acquire Connected Wind Services Denmark from EnBW, adding 1,000 turbines and over 100 technicians to its operational capabilities. The acquisition strengthens Eurowind's position in the Nordic wind value chain as assets transition beyond original service agreements.

Eurowind Energy has signed an agreement to acquire Connected Wind Services Denmark from EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg, according to an official announcement. The transaction is subject to competition authority approval, with the purchase price undisclosed. Connected Wind Services will retain its name, management team, and independent operational structure following the acquisition. Connected Wind Services Denmark is the country's largest independent wind turbine service provider, with over 35 years of experience in operations and maintenance.

The company services approximately 1,000 wind turbines across Denmark and employs more than 100 engineers, technicians, and support staff. It also operates a 24/7 monitoring centre supervising over 800 turbines and maintains ISO certifications for quality, environmental management, and health and safety. Revenue reached approximately DKK 163 million in 2024. Eurowind Energy is a Danish renewable energy developer and operator with projects across Europe. The acquisition adds technical service capabilities to complement its development and asset management activities. The new chairman of Connected Wind Services will be Klaus Steen Mortensen, a former Vestas executive and current Eurowind board member. This development matters for the Nordic wind operations market, where independent service providers are capturing increasing market share as original equipment manufacturer service contracts expire.

The ability to maintain turbine availability and extend asset lifecycles directly impacts project economics for wind farm owners. For the renewable energy industry, the acquisition reflects vertical integration strategies among developers seeking to internalise operations and maintenance expertise. Stakeholders including wind farm owners, component suppliers, and technical service contractors will monitor how the combined entity competes with OEM-affiliated service providers in Denmark and Northern Europe. The transaction also signals continued consolidation in the European O&M service market.
