Everfuel has finalized a substantial funding agreement with the German government under the European Hydrogen Bank framework and locked in vital cross-border pipeline capacity. These steps advance the large-scale Project Frigg initiative, bolstering Europe's green energy infrastructure and cross-border clean fuel supply chains.

DENMARK; GERMANY —Everfuel A/S has formalized a significant financial and infrastructure agreement with the German government under the European Hydrogen Bank Auctions-as-a-Service mechanism. The arrangement secures production backing valued at EUR 245 million, calculated at EUR 0.98 per kilogram of eligible renewable hydrogen generated. Simultaneously, the enterprise has successfully reserved cross-border pipeline capacity spanning both Danish and German transmission networks, matching 400 megawatts of electrolyser output. This infrastructure allocation targets initial supply volumes for the upcoming Project Frigg development.

Situated within the Revsing Energy Park in Vejen, Denmark, the multi-phase initiative is engineered to eventually scale up to two gigawatts of total electrolyser capacity. The site benefits from its location in a power zone characterized by very high shares of renewable electricity generation. This initiative builds upon operational insights gained from smaller commercial facilities, utilizing domestic production and initial logistics to supply industrial consumers in neighboring markets ahead of direct pipeline activation.

The recent administrative milestones provide critical clarity regarding regulatory production incentives and cross-border transport corridors, moving the initiative closer toward a formal investment decision. Stakeholders across the energy ecosystem emphasize that aligning infrastructure availability, capacity bookings, and long-term commercial offtake contracts remains essential for advancing major capital projects in the sector. These developments reinforce the cross-border framework required to connect Nordic renewable generation directly with heavy industrial centers in Central Europe.

This initiative carries direct implications for European energy markets, heavy manufacturing sectors, and regional utility providers. As European industrial economies face stringent decarbonization mandates, demand for certified renewable fuels is projected to significantly outpace near-term domestic production capacities. Consequently, cross-border infrastructure corridors are becoming vital for bridging geographic supply-demand imbalances, positioning Danish production facilities as foundational suppliers for continental industrial consumers seeking long-term clean energy procurement.

Everfuel A/S is a green hydrogen infrastructure company headquartered in Herning, Denmark, focused on producing, distributing, and commercializing clean energy solutions for industrial and mobility applications across Europe.
