Wood has secured a $200 million, five-year services contract from ExxonMobil PNG to support brownfield construction and asset maintenance across Papua New Guinea's liquefied natural gas infrastructure, reinforcing regional energy supply reliability for Asian import markets.

PAPUA NEW GUINEA ExxonMobil PNG has selected Scottish engineering and consulting firm Wood to execute a major five-year construction services agreement valued at $200 million for the PNG LNG Project in Papua New Guinea.

Under the terms of the agreement, Wood will deploy more than 200 operational personnel to deliver brownfield construction, structural engineering, piping, mechanical, and electrical instrumentation services across key project assets. The scope of work encompasses the Hides Gas Conditioning Plant, the Caution Bay LNG facility, and associated well pads, flowlines, and a 700-kilometer pipeline network.

This capital commitment underscores the critical operational focus on maintaining asset integrity and optimizing processing capacities for Papua New Guinea's flagship gas exporter. The long-term maintenance of this integrated energy network is vital to securing continuous liquefied natural gas deliveries to key consumer markets across Asia.

For the broader energy and engineering services sector, the multi-year investment signals steady operational demand for specialized brownfield modification and lifecycle extension services in Western Pacific gas developments. The agreement also provides sustained employment and workforce development opportunities within Papua New Guinea's domestic energy industry.

Wood, a global consulting and engineering company registered in Scotland, provides project delivery, operational support, and asset solutions across energy and materials infrastructure worldwide.
