INDIA —NOPL Solar Projects Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vikran Engineering Limited, has successfully concluded its financing arrangements by executing a facility agreement with the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA). Under this arrangement, the borrower will avail a rupee term loan facility amounting to ₹29.41 billion.
The capital infusion is designated to part-finance the construction and deployment of a 969 MWac / 1,163 MWp solar photovoltaic power project. Estimated at a total cost of ₹42.02 billion, the renewable energy initiative is being executed across 152 distinct locations within the state of Maharashtra as part of the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 framework.
With the financial closure achieved, the execution pathway is cemented for a major Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contract valued at ₹35.18 billion previously awarded to Vikran Engineering Limited. Vikran Engineering Limited is an infrastructure and engineering solutions provider active in power transmission, distribution, and renewable energy sectors.
The development highlights the continuous expansion of utility-scale solar infrastructure tailored for agricultural feeder solarization and regional grid stability. Securing long-term debt financing through specialized public sector lending institutions mitigates near-term liquidity risks for large-scale green energy developers while accelerating state-level decarbonization mandates.
Market participants and clean energy stakeholders view the successful financial alignment as a critical benchmark for execution timelines under decentralized renewable procurement models. The arrangement does not alter corporate governance or management control for the parent entity, preserving operational independence while reinforcing balance sheet integrity through structured debt deployment.
