Foxtons Group has acquired four regional lettings businesses in Birmingham, Watford and Reading for up to £6 million. The strategic move accelerates the estate agency's strategy to expand its recurring revenue base outside its traditional London stronghold.

UNITED KINGDOM London-listed real estate agency Foxtons Group has secured four regional lettings-focused acquisitions to drive growth across key regional markets in the United Kingdom. The total deal structure comprises an initial cash-free, debt-free consideration of £4.8 million, alongside £1.2 million in deferred and contingent performance-based payments funded via the group's revolving credit facility. The targeted businesses generated an aggregate unaudited annual revenue of £3.2 million and are projected to enhance group earnings from FY2027 while delivering a target 20% return on invested capital through operational synergies.

Founded in 1981, Foxtons Group is a major UK estate agency chain operating across residential lettings, property sales, and financial advisory services. The company's core strategic strategy prioritizes scaling non-cyclical, recurring lettings income through disciplined acquisition and integration onto its centralized operating infrastructure.

The expansion targets high-value commuter corridors and major urban centers outside London. In Birmingham, the group added Maguire Jackson and Davidson Estates, expanding its coverage in central residential districts and Edgbaston following its initial entry into the city earlier in the year. Concurrently, the firm integrated Warren Anthony in Watford while acquiring a specialized lettings portfolio in the Reading area, cementing its market presence in key South East property hubs.

This consolidation highlights a broader corporate trend across the UK residential property sector, where major agencies rely on bolt-on acquisitions to maintain margin growth amid economic shifts. By transitioning newly acquired regional portfolios onto a single corporate platform and umbrella brand, real estate aggregators can optimize operating costs, cross-sell financial services, and secure resilient revenue streams in highly active rental markets.
