Gamuda Berhad's subsidiary, Gamuda Engineering, has secured a MYR 3.57 billion contract to construct two hyperscale data centers in Port Dickson, Malaysia, for a US-headquartered multinational technology company.

MALAYSIA Gamuda Berhad, through its wholly-owned unit Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a major contract valued at MYR 3.57 billion for the construction of two hyperscale data center facilities in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The project was awarded on August 28, 2026, by an established multinational technology enterprise headquartered in the United States. Under the build-only contract terms, Gamuda will execute site infrastructure works, building core and shell construction, alongside comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing fit-out operations across two single-storey structures, with individual award values standing at MYR 1.79 billion and MYR 1.78 billion respectively.

Gamuda Berhad is an established engineering, infrastructure, and property development corporation based in Malaysia, widely recognized for undertaking complex engineering infrastructure and industrial construction projects across the Asia-Pacific region. The client is a prominent multinational technology entity headquartered in the United States, operating expansive global digital infrastructure networks.

This major award marks a significant milestone in expanding Gamuda's order book, with construction works slated to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026. The two project components carry targeted completion dates in the third quarter of 2028 and fourth quarter of 2028, ensuring sustained revenue visibility for the group across its financial years through completion. While standard construction risks such as material price volatility remain present, the group intends to leverage its extensive domain expertise in infrastructure delivery to mitigate execution risks effectively.

The deployment highlights the accelerating trend of multinational technology firms channeling capital into Southeast Asia's digital infrastructure space. Port Dickson is increasingly positioning itself as an attractive node for hyperscale developments due to strategically favorable land availability and regional power infrastructure. This project reinforces Malaysia's growing stature as a regional data center hub, driven by robust cross-border demand for cloud computing and digital processing capacity.

From an investor and market perspective, the award solidifies Gamuda's positioning within the high-growth data center construction market. By securing high-value technical infrastructure projects, Gamuda strengthens its market leadership in specialized engineering while bolstering long-term earnings resilience in its regional operations.
