Adani Airport Holdings Limited secured primary equity funding from international and domestic institutional investors, valuing the platform at a pre-money equity valuation of nearly 18 billion US dollars. The capital will drive airport modernisations, city-side infrastructure development, and non-aeronautical business expansion across India.

INDIA Global and domestic institutional investors have committed 98.25 billion Indian rupees in primary equity to Adani Airport Holdings Limited, establishing an eighteen billion US dollar pre-money equity valuation benchmark for the airport platform. The investment consortium includes Alpha Wave Global, Premji Invest, Temasek, and funds managed by BlackRock. The equity subscription will take place across three tranches through a share subscription and shareholders agreement, with final completion scheduled for July 2027. Following the final tranche, the investor group will secure a combined equity stake of approximately 5.54 percent in the company.

Adani Airport Holdings Limited operates as a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited, managing eight airports across India and handling over 23 percent of the country's passenger traffic through aeronautical operations, non-aeronautical commercial ventures, and city-side real estate development. The fresh capital infuses long-term institutional funding into India's aviation sector at a time of escalating passenger volume and infrastructure demand.

The proceeds are slated to advance three key growth areas: modernising current airport infrastructure, scaling non-aeronautical operations such as ground handling, and developing integrated airport cities. Phase one includes twenty-two million square feet of mixed-use real estate development surrounding airport facilities. Capital allocations will also support operational scale expansion to accommodate up to two hundred million passengers annually, enhancing commercial revenue monetization and service efficiency.

This equity deployment underscores growing institutional investor confidence in Indian transportation assets and multi-modal urban hubs. The transaction follows a major 150 billion Indian rupees qualified institutional placement completed by parent company Adani Enterprises Limited in July 2026, further highlighting sustained access to global capital for core infrastructure execution across South Asia.
