Diagnostic Medical Systems Group (DMS Group) has secured a €1.5 million contract to supply 15 mobile X-ray systems for healthcare facilities across Greenland. The deployment, conducted with Nordic distributor Santax Medico, will expand local diagnostic imaging capacity in remote communities, with the remaining 14 systems scheduled for delivery by the end of 2026.

GREENLAND —Greenland's healthcare equipment renewal programme will add 15 mobile radiology systems supplied by Diagnostic Medical Systems Group (DMS Group), under a contract valued at €1.5 million. The French medical imaging company is working with Santax Medico, its distributor in the Nordic region, to deliver the equipment to healthcare facilities across the territory. The contract revenue is scheduled to be invoiced in the fourth quarter, while delivery of the 14 systems remaining after the first unit is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

Each configuration includes DMS Group's motorised !M1 mobile X-ray unit, two Canon detectors and a vertical detector stand. The equipment is intended for use across 15 healthcare facilities extending from Qaanaaq in northern Greenland to Nanortalik in the south. Its mobile configuration supports examinations at the bedside as well as imaging of patients in a standing position, allowing facilities to conduct different types of radiological examinations using the same system.

The deployment addresses a practical challenge for Greenland's healthcare network: providing diagnostic services across geographically dispersed communities where transport between settlements and medical facilities can be difficult. Equipping local facilities with mobile imaging technology could reduce the need to move certain patients to larger centres solely for X-ray examinations, although the actual effect will depend on staffing, clinical workflows and local service capacity. The units' battery-based operating technology is also intended to support use in settings where access to conventional power infrastructure may be constrained.

The contract has implications for public healthcare procurement, medical imaging suppliers and distributors serving remote markets. For Greenland's health authorities, the purchase represents an investment in decentralised diagnostic infrastructure. For DMS Group and Santax Medico, the order extends an established commercial relationship into another Nordic market and provides a further deployment reference for mobile radiology equipment.

Previous installations in Denmark contributed to the selection process in Greenland. DMS Group and Santax Medico announced a framework agreement in Denmark in 2024 covering the potential supply of 20 to 30 mobile X-ray units to Danish public hospitals over four years. The Greenland contract illustrates how an existing regional distribution relationship and operational experience can support access to additional public-sector customers. DMS Group also received a contract from Ukrainian authorities in 2025, providing another international reference for its mobile imaging business.

DMS Group specialises in medical imaging systems, including digital radiology and bone densitometry equipment. Santax Medico distributes medical technology in Nordic markets, while Canon supplies the detectors included in the Greenland configurations. The order strengthens DMS Group's presence in public healthcare equipment markets, although its longer-term commercial contribution will depend on execution, acceptance of the systems and opportunities for subsequent orders.
