Greenply Industries has committed up to INR 300 million to expand manufacturing capacity at its Sandila unit through its wholly owned subsidiary. The capital infusion targets surging regional demand for wood-based panels and allied building products.

INDIA —Greenply Industries Limited has approved a capital allocation of up to INR 300 million to scale up production capabilities at its manufacturing plant located in Sandila, Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh. The expansion will be executed through its wholly owned subsidiary, Greenply Sandila Private Limited, via equity subscription across one or multiple tranches slated for completion by the fourth quarter of fiscal 2028. Greenply Industries Limited is an Indian manufacturer and marketer of interior infrastructure products, specializing in plywood, block boards, doors, and decorative veneers.

This targeted capital deployment directly addresses an anticipated market imbalance where consumer demand for structural wood products and architectural panels outstrips current operational output across the parent entity and its subsidiaries. By bolstering localized manufacturing infrastructure, the enterprise seeks to eliminate supply chain bottlenecks and strengthen its regional market share in northern India's expanding real estate sector.

The strategic investment underscores broader industrial momentum within the domestic building materials and panel manufacturing sectors, which continue to absorb capital expenditure to support commercial and residential construction booms. Regulatory compliance remains a core focus, with the transaction structured on an arm length basis while preserving the subsidiary ownership structure entirely under the parent firm.

For market participants and institutional investors, the development highlights disciplined capacity scaling aligned with macro construction trends rather than speculative diversification. Financial projections indicate that expanding the Hardoi facility will optimize operational efficiencies, reduce transit-related overheads, and reinforce medium-term revenue streams as urban housing demand accelerates.
