Gujarat Energy has finalized a ten-year sales agreement with ADNOC to procure up to four million tonnes of liquefied natural gas starting in 2028. The deal represents the initial molecule delivery from XRG's international portfolio through a newly established Abu Dhabi trading platform.

INDIA; UNITED ARAB EMIRATES —Gujarat Energy has concluded a ten-year supply contract with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to source up to four million tonnes of liquefied natural gas. Deliveries under the agreement are scheduled to commence in 2028, marking the initial transaction of molecules originating from international assets held by XRG. The arrangement was executed via a newly established global marketing and trading platform based in the Abu Dhabi Global Market.

This long-term procurement arrangement carries substantial weight for international gas commerce, representing the first operational milestone for XRG's overseas portfolio integration. By channeling production originating outside the Gulf region directly toward South Asian markets, the transaction validates the operational capacity of the recently launched Abu Dhabi trading infrastructure. For the supplier, the milestone advances strategic ambitions to expand international market reach and consolidate positioning within major Asian energy hubs.

The development introduces notable impacts across the domestic energy sector and regional industrial infrastructure. Heightened access to secure, long-term gas supplies supports broader national objectives to expand cleaner fuel adoption across urban distribution networks, manufacturing operations, and commercial transport. Regional utilities and industrial consumers stand to benefit from diversified supply chains, while policy frameworks favoring lower-carbon transitions receive tangible backing through stable import commitments.

For corporate strategists and market participants, the agreement underscores evolving trade dynamics in cross-border hydrocarbon transactions. Investors evaluating long-term capital allocation in gas infrastructure and distribution networks can view the ten-year commitment as a positive indicator of demand visibility and supply security. Furthermore, the operationalization of the new trading platform signals enhanced liquidity and flexible sourcing mechanisms for major industrial economies across Asia.

Gujarat Energy operates as an integrated energy provider engaged in natural gas trading, city gas distribution, oil and exploration, power generation, and import infrastructure. Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) functions as a diversified energy and petrochemical enterprise wholly owned by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, managing extensive hydrocarbon assets to drive economic growth. XRG operates as an international investment enterprise holding assets across natural gas, chemicals, and scalable energy solutions.
