Hero Future Energies has won a 120 MW firm renewable energy contract in a national procurement auction. The project features integrated storage technology to deliver round-the-clock power, reinforcing grid reliability while expanding the company's dispatchable clean energy operations.

Hero Future Energies has secured a 120 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy development contract through a competitive tariff auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). Operated via its subsidiary Hero Solar Energy, the project was awarded at a power tariff of INR 5.25 per kilowatt-hour. Under the terms of the tender, the capacity will connect directly to the Inter-State Transmission System and must be integrated with an advanced energy storage system to supply uninterrupted clean power across peak and off-peak demand cycles. The venture will be finalized through a long-term power purchase agreement with the central procurement authority, with commercial operations targeted to begin within 24 months of signing the formal contract.

Hero Future Energies is an independent power producer based in India that develops, owns, and operates utility-scale clean energy assets. The company holds an operating and pipeline portfolio comprising approximately 7.7 gigawatt-peak of solar and wind capacity alongside 2.9 gigawatt-hours of battery energy storage infrastructure.

This operational award addresses the critical challenge of grid instability caused by intermittent clean energy generation by combining generation assets with energy storage capacity.
