Highway Infrastructure Limited has secured a Letter of Acceptance valued at INR 801.70 million from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the operation and collection of user fees at Palayam Fee Plaza in Tamil Nadu. Under the terms of the engagement, the awardee will handle user fee collection via e-quotation through e-tender for the Palayam Fee Plaza located at Km 154+500 of NH-44 in the Krishnagiri to Thumbipadi section from Km 94+000 to Km 180+000 on a BOT basis. The scope of work also encompasses the upkeep and maintenance of adjacent toilet blocks, including the recouping of consumable items, with a scheduled completion period of 90 days.

Highway Infrastructure Limited is an Indian infrastructure company specializing in highway development, toll management, and road maintenance operations. The National Highways Authority of India is an autonomous agency of the Government of India responsible for managing a network of national highways across the country.

This contract win strengthens Highway Infrastructure Limited's presence in southern India's transport infrastructure sector while providing immediate revenue stream visibility. For the National Highways Authority of India, engaging specialized collection agencies ensures streamlined user fee realization and efficient toll plaza management along critical transport corridors.

From a broader policy and industry perspective, the award highlights the ongoing emphasis on public-private collaboration and outsourced tolling operations on India's national highway network. Efficient fee collection systems and maintained roadside amenities remain essential for enhancing overall transit efficiency on high-density commercial routes like NH-44.

For market observers and investors, the short-term engagement underscores steady operational demand in the toll management segment. It enables Highway Infrastructure Limited to optimize its operational deployment while supporting national highway infrastructure maintenance and commercial service quality standards.
