MALAYSIA —HSS Integrated Sdn Bhd, an associate entity of investment holding firm HSS Engineers Berhad, has officially accepted a Letter of Appointment valued at RM10.95 million from main contractor Sutracom Sdn Bhd to provide comprehensive engineering consultancy and site supervision services. The mandate forms part of Package UP-3, covering the proposed design and build upgrading works for Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd's sewage water treatment plants located across Negeri Sembilan and Melaka under Phase 2 of the regional environmental infrastructure development initiative.
Under the terms of the agreement, HSS Integrated will deliver complete civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering consultancy services alongside full-time construction site supervision over an estimated period of 42 months, commencing 28 September 2026. To execute the required scope, HSS Integrated will collaborate exclusively with HSS Engineering Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HSS Engineers Berhad, drawing upon the group's established technical expertise in managing complex utility and environmental projects. HSS Engineers Berhad operates as a leading engineering consultancy group listed on Bursa Malaysia, specializing in civil, structural, and M&E engineering services across infrastructure sectors. Sutracom Sdn Bhd operates as a Malaysian construction firm engaged as the main contractor for major public utility and infrastructure construction packages.
This contract engagement highlights the ongoing modernizing phase of public utility and wastewater treatment facilities across Peninsular Malaysia to align with heightened environmental quality standards. Enhancing regional sewage infrastructure supports sustainable urbanization, strengthens environmental compliance, and reduces ecological risks associated with municipal effluent disposal in critical river basins.
From an enterprise perspective, the contract bolsters HSS Engineers Berhad's order book visibility through 2030, offering sustained revenue stream contributions without altering share capital or ownership structures. The venture highlights strong market demand for specialized engineering consultancy partners capable of fulfilling rigorous regulatory standards in large-scale public utility modernizations.
