India’s Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved a revised capital outlay of INR 36.3 billion for a new highway corridor connecting Noida International Airport with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The project aims to strengthen regional mobility, accelerate logistics flows across the National Capital Region, and support planned urban expansion in adjoining districts.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a revised project cost of INR 36.31 billion for a 31.42 km greenfield road corridor designed to connect the upcoming Noida International Airport with the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway. According to official disclosures, the project will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode and will pass through Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The corridor will link the airport to the Delhi-Faridabad-Ballabhgarh-Sohna section of the expressway network, creating a direct route for traffic originating from South Delhi, Faridabad and Gurugram.

Approximately 11 km of the highway will be built as an elevated stretch to accommodate future urban expansion and maintain traffic flow through high-density development zones identified under Faridabad’s Master Plan 2031. Authorities said the route will intersect with major infrastructure networks including the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, the Yamuna Expressway and the Dedicated Freight Corridor, forming a multimodal transport hub that could improve freight movement across the National Capital Region.

The Government of Haryana has committed INR 4.5 billion toward the elevated section, which forms part of the broader greenfield alignment between the DND–Ballabhgarh bypass and the airport. The CCEA is a key decision-making body of the Government of India responsible for approving major economic and infrastructure investments. The project is expected to enhance airport accessibility, strengthen logistics efficiency and support commercial and residential development around the emerging Jewar aviation hub, potentially increasing investment activity along the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway growth corridor.
