Tembo Global Industries has partnered with Belgium's Lachaussee SA to build a €50 million ammunition manufacturing line in India. The facility will produce 100 million rounds annually, strengthening domestic defense manufacturing capabilities.

BELGIUM; INDIA Tembo Global Industries, through its subsidiary Tembo Classic Engineering, has entered into a strategic memorandum of understanding with Belgian defense equipment specialist Lachaussee SA to set up a turnkey ammunition production line in India. The joint project carries an estimated value of €50 million and aims to manufacture two distinct types of ammunition, achieving an annual capacity of approximately 100 million rounds. Deliveries under the commercial arrangement are scheduled to take place across 2028 and 2029.

This initiative represents a key milestone for Tembo Global Industries as it accelerates its expansion beyond core industrial engineering into high-value defense manufacturing. Founded in 2010, Tembo Global Industries produces metal components, pipe support systems, HVAC fittings, and industrial equipment, while also providing engineering, procurement, and construction services. Its collaborator, Milmort-based Lachaussee SA, brings nearly two centuries of expertise in designing high-precision machinery and automated production lines for pyrotechnic components and ammunition.

The partnership aligns with India's national strategy to bolster domestic defense production, reduce reliance on foreign imports, and build a self-reliant military supply chain. By localizing advanced munition manufacturing technology through international technology transfer, the project reinforces the country's broader industrial ecosystem and opens up long-term opportunities for local component suppliers, defense equipment distributors, and specialized engineering partners.

For institutional investors and industry stakeholders, the development highlights a growing trend of traditional industrial manufacturing entities diversifying into strategic defense programs. The long-term production trajectory and fixed delivery timeline provide Tembo Global Industries with enhanced revenue visibility and an entry path into sustained defense procurement contracts both domestically and internationally.
