Indian Railways approves INR 2.95 billion for Kavach 4.0 deployment across North Eastern Railway network

Indian Railways has approved a capital allocation of INR 2.95 billion to implement Kavach Version 4.0 across 660 route kilometers within the Izzatnagar Division of North Eastern Railway, according to official government disclosures. The project covers the remaining unprotected sections of the division under an overarching nationwide initiative titled Provision of Kavach with communication backbone of Long-Term Evolution on balance sections of Indian Railways.
