InfraRed Capital Partners has agreed to purchase New Zealand-based port logistics firm C3 Limited from Brookfield. The transaction strengthens InfraRed's regional presence while providing C3 with growth capital to expand its supply chain infrastructure.

NEW ZEALAND —International infrastructure asset manager InfraRed Capital Partners has reached an agreement to acquire C3 Limited, a prominent New Zealand port logistics and materials handling company, from private equity firm Brookfield.

Headquartered in New Zealand, C3 Limited manages 15 strategic port and inland locations across New Zealand and Australia, serving as a critical operational link for regional import and export supply chains. The enterprise specializes in forestry materials handling, processing roughly half of New Zealand's log exports—an industry generating NZ$3.4 billion in annual export revenue. In addition, C3 handles approximately 50 percent of container traffic at the Port of Tauranga, providing critical freight and logistics support for agricultural, dairy, and energy commodities.

InfraRed Capital Partners is a global infrastructure investment platform with US$13 billion in assets under management across core and value-add strategies. C3 Limited operates as an essential supply chain provider offering integrated port, marshalling, and timber processing services to major industrial exporters across Australasia.

This transaction underscores growing institutional demand for essential transportation assets that possess recurring revenue models and strong localized market share. By securing a core provider in Australasian port services, InfraRed gains a scalable platform positioned to capture adjacent growth across regional freight and container handling operations.

The acquisition aligns with broader efforts among primary exporters to streamline international trade routes and increase port-side logistics efficiency. Capital deployment from value-add infrastructure funds is expected to accelerate infrastructure upgrades, enhance operational capacity, and support service expansion across the trans-Tasman logistics sector.
