Inox Neo Energies and Authum consortium secures NCLT approval to acquire Wind World India

The Ahmedabad bench of the NCLT has approved a joint resolution plan by Inox Neo Energies and Authum Investment & Infrastructure to acquire distressed wind energy producer Wind World (India) under the insolvency process.

A joint consortium led by Inox Neo Energies alongside Authum Investment & Infrastructure has secured formal sanction from the Ahmedabad bench of the National Company Law Tribunal to acquire distressed wind generator Wind World (India) under corporate insolvency resolution regulations.

Under the approved framework, Inox Neo Energies will assume operational control over the target entity's independent power producer division and operations and maintenance units. Authum Investment & Infrastructure will absorb designated real estate holdings and ancillary assets, committing approximately ₹3.50 billion toward the transaction.

Authum Investment & Infrastructure is an Indian non-banking financial company focused on capital market investments, structured debt, and distressed asset financing. Wind World (India) is a long-standing domestic wind power manufacturer and developer specializing in utility-scale wind turbine installation and operational maintenance.

This court-sanctioned takeover provides a definitive exit path for legacy debt holders while salvaging operating wind generation units. By carving out core operations from real estate assets, the deal model optimizes asset utilization and stabilizes operational capacity within India's renewable energy market.

The successful resolution strengthens consolidated power portfolios for lead acquirers and underscores growing corporate interest in distressed clean energy assets. For the broader power sector, the transaction reflects ongoing consolidation aimed at bolstering operational scale and long-term grid support capability.
