CSG has secured regulatory clearance from Ireland's Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) to acquire Cork-based Celtic Water Care Solutions. The transaction, expected to finalize on October 31, 2026, expands CSG's industrial wastewater treatment footprint and regional service capabilities across Irish markets.

IRELAND —Industrial chemical solutions group CSG has secured regulatory approval from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) to proceed with its planned acquisition of Celtic Water Care Solutions Limited. The transaction, initially agreed upon in January, is scheduled for formal financial and operational completion on October 31, 2026.

Based in Cork, Ireland, Celtic Water Care Solutions specializes in providing effluent treatment chemicals, equipment, and customized site-level technical services to commercial and industrial operations across the country. CSG is an established provider of specialized industrial chemicals, water treatment solutions, and logistics infrastructure serving utility and industrial customer bases in Ireland and Western Europe.

The acquisition enhances CSG’s core capabilities in the specialized wastewater management market. By integrating Celtic Water Care’s localized customer portfolio and specialized application expertise, CSG strengthens its direct access to manufacturing plants, processing facilities, and municipal utilities requiring specialized chemical treatments and regulatory compliance monitoring.

For industrial operators, the consolidation highlights growing commercial demand for specialized, end-to-end wastewater management services driven by stricter environmental standards and discharge guidelines. The combined enterprise provides enhanced supply chain resiliency, a broader specialized product portfolio, and improved technical service capacity for industrial clients across Ireland.
